District Scout Wide Games

Date: 29th Nov 2022 Author: Scout Websites

On Friday 14 October we held the District Wide game in Happy Valley, organised by 3rd Caterham Scouts.

We had 48 Scouts, a number of young leaders and some not so young leaders. The Scouts put themselves into groups of four to five and set off to find leaders who were holding up glow sticks. The first team to each leader got given a raffle ticket. The idea was to gain as many raffle tickets as possible. Back at the HQ all the raffle counter foils were folded up and placed into a large bowl and the youngest person in the room (which was Wensley) picked a ticket from the bowl.

The Scouts then had 15 seconds to come up with the corresponding ticket. The event was won by 12th Caterham
Scouts who pulled all their tickets together so they could all join in the glory of winning.

Well done to 12th Caterham Scouts and also a big thank you to Neil Turner for hosting the event and the 3rd Caterham for running the game. Next term we are looking forward to 4th Caterham Scouts who will organise our next wide game.

I want the public to know how Scouting continues to open young people’s eyes to a world of extraordinary promise and possibilities.'
