3rd Caterham Sponsored Bike Ride

Last term 3rd Caterham Scouts did a sponsored bike ride around Kenley Aerodrome in aid of COAT (Caterham Overseas Aid Trust).
We managed to raise £350. It wasn’t until this term that we were able to pin down the very busy chairperson Margaret Deards to give her the cheque. Margaret also gave the Scouts a talk on the work of COAT and explained how the world’s food is distributed among the wealthy and what is left for the poor and third world countries.
We had a very good evening and went on to do some problem solving.
