About Us
Caterham District nestles between London and Surrey. It is a part of Surrey Scout County and the UK Scout Association.
An active District with a variety of groups which have Squirrel Dreys (4 – 6 years), Beaver Colonies (6 – 8 years), Cub Packs (8 – 10½ years) and Scout Troops 10½ – 14 years). We also have Explorer Units (14 – 18 years). Boys and girls are welcome to join in every section.
The groups meet throughout the year, each at their own HQ. They also meet together for shared activities within the District and the County from time to time.
There are many different groups and units spread across Caterham District and we deliver Scouting in the areas of Caterham, Chaldon, Hamsey Green, Warlingham, Whyteleafe & Woldingham.
Across the course of the year, all sections within groups have an active programme tailored to the abilities and interest of the young people within them. It is likely that all sections will camp or have a residential experience at least once a year either just as a section or as a whole group.
The young people will take part in a range of activities throughout the year ranging from simple games though to climbing, abseiling, archery, shooting, kayaking – the list goes on! Scouting offers something to all young people.
